An inspiring story…

We are delighted to share the inspiring story of one of our scholarship recipients, Amadeus S., whose journey demonstrates the power of mutual support. Thanks to Prosperi’s support, he was able to continue his studies at the prestigious school of his dreams.

At the end of his first year at school, Amadeus shares with us the challenges he has overcome, his desire to become an ambassador for our CES programme, and his experience as a student at LBS.

Read his inspiring story and discover the providential power of solidarity, which can open doors, offer opportunities and even break the chains of social determinism…

In June 2024 I secured my admission at London Business School (LBS) one of the best
schools in the world, but I had no idea how I would fund it, so I reached out to the Prosperi
team. LBS is one of the most expensive schools globally, and it’s located in London, one of
the most expensive cities in the world. In a world shaped by inequality, after doing everything
in my power to secure a bright future, Prosperi made sure that this future wouldn’t be taken
away from me because of a financial reality I didn’t chose at birth. The Prosperi team
believed in me when it mattered most. They offered not just financial support through a
scholarship, but real human care. They listened, they understood, and they gave me
everything I needed to start this journey strong. I’m proud to now serve as an Ambassador
for the CES project, a way of giving back and opening doors for others, the same way they
opened one for me.

Welcome in my new reality, a new chapter in motion:

Stepping into London for the start of my journey at LBS felt surreal. Coming from a public
university background, everything here looked and felt completely different, from the state of-the-art facilities to the energy of a campus placed right in the heart of central London.
Suddenly, everything was at my fingertips. It felt like the world was mine.

One moment that made it all feel real was the Welcome Ceremony. Sitting in a beautiful
room surrounded by 400 new classmates, networking with people from places and
experiences so different from my own, triggered something deep inside me. Here I was,
same me, same roots, but stepping into a completely new part of my life.
Academically, LBS constantly pushes you to grow in ways you can’t always predict. One
experience that stands out is the Global Experience program. I chose to go to Cape Town,
and I completely fell in love with the city. During that week, the school organized a panel of
women who had lived through apartheid, a subject that has always touched me deeply.
Our group project led us into the heart of communities, visiting schools and meeting
children from disadvantaged backgrounds. That connection was instant and powerful. It’s
one thing to study issues from afar; it’s another to feel them, to see them, to be welcomed
by the very people you aim to understand. That week in Cape Town changed me.

The community at LBS is like no other. It’s incredibly diverse, every person you meet brings
a different story, a different perspective. I joined the Black in Business Club and a few
others, and found that between club events, conferences, and the everyday hustle of
campus life, there’s always something new happening. Being here doesn’t just keep you
busy; it keeps you evolving.
One of the most memorable moments outside the classroom was the Ski Trek. Sharing
classes bonds you with people, but sharing slopes, late-night laughs builds something
even deeper. That week in the mountains was when classmates started turning into lifelong
friends.

Looking back, LBS is exactly what I hoped for and more: a new chapter in life, new
discoveries every day, intensity, excitement, and the privilege of being surrounded by the
best of the best.
Since starting at LBS, I learn something new every day. But I also made myself a promise: to
stay true to my values. I know where I come from. I know that many people from similar
backgrounds don’t always get these opportunities, often because of circumstances far
beyond their control. So while I’m proud of everything I’m achieving, I stay humble. I can
only be grateful to have had Prosperi team helping me achieving all this.
And the best part? I know this is only the beginning.
