From sport to health: our commitment to MCH continues…

Following the construction of a multi-sports ground at the Manjo Children’s Home in the village of Manjo (Cameroon), Prosperi wished to continue its commitment to the well-being of the children and the care staff.

In line with this, on 6 April we organised a free eye screening campaign in collaboration with our partner, the IDIWAKA association, a subsidiary of the África Directo Foundation. The aim of this initiative was to detect at an early stage any visual impairments and eye conditions that are often overlooked and left untreated due to difficulties in accessing healthcare or a lack of resources.

This campaign identified a range of conditions among some beneficiaries, from simple vision problems requiring correction to more specific conditions requiring medical follow-up. Others, however, who had perfect vision, were reassured by these examinations and received practical advice on how to look after their eyesight in their daily lives – an essential aspect of the campaigns we organise: screening, treatment and education.

This initiative reflects our commitment to taking a holistic approach and making a lasting impact. Following our initial initiative to promote children’s physical well-being through sport, we are now focusing on their health, which is essential to their development and success.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to the volunteer doctors from IDIWAKA for their commitment, to the local authorities who ensured the smooth running of the event, and to the MCH team for their hospitality and dedication.

TDN Rhône families at Groupama Stadium

Invited by Prosperi, Tombée du nid families from the Rhône-Alpes region attended the match between France’s Les Bleus and Germany on Saturday 23 March. According to the feedback we received, the children all had an extraordinary experience, each in their own way: managing the crowds, the noise and the novelty without crisis for some, experiencing a late evening and managing the wait   for others… Generally speaking, everyone was happy to experience this exceptional moment and to see their association’s mentor “in real life”.

And for some parents, free from the burden of looking after their children, it was an evening of time off; an opportunity to organise a little outing or spend an face-to-face evening, watching the match or a film…

An invitation to a match is an ordinary gesture, but for children with disabilities and their families, it can have a huge impact on their daily lives. This brings us back to the wonderful intuition of Tombée du Nid, which works for these families and makes all this possible!

Aurélien continue to support the association Tombée du Nid

He demonstrated his commitment to the charity by attending the show ‘A la vie, à l’amour’ held on Tuesday 23 January at the Folies Bergères in aid of Tombée du nid, of which he is the patron.
It was a memorable evening thanks to the talented troupe @alaviealamour_lemusical, who created magic through Victor Hugo’s Les Misérables, revisited as a musical.

In addition to the exceptional quality of the show put on by this troupe, all profits from their January productions are donated to associations supporting humanitarian and charitable causes.

A fine example of commitment and solidarity!

Prosperi supports Tombée du nid

It takes a village to raise a child. This is especially true for families with disabled children.

The Prosperi team was particularly touched by the work and efforts made by the Association “Tombée du Nid” to overcome the isolation of these families and make their daily lives easier.

In a video he posted on his social media, Aurélien tells you more about this “new world” he’s discovered.

Prosperi and CKDB

Inhealth establishments, nursing staff agree that children’s morale is a key factor in the healing process. So, as the end of the year drwas near, it’s important that Santa also comes through the Robert Debré Hospital chimney!

As part of Prosperi’s support for associations, on Wednesday 6 December, Aurélien teamed up with  CKDB to visit young patients at the Paris hospital.  Beyond the Christmas gifts given to the children on this occasion, what stands out most are  the moments filled with warmth, smiles, sharing and lots of tenderness.

CKDB, sponsored by Omar SY, is a caritative organisation whose aim is to improve the daily lives of sick children and teenagers.
